Chris Hanly is the Vice President of Investments and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional at 1879 Advisors, focusing his business on building and preserving financial security for his clients.
Since joining the firm in 2010, Mr. Hanly has been committed to providing a level of client education and personalized service not typically seen in the finance industry. Working closely with members of the Investment Committee, Mr. Hanly is able to effectively utilize the 1879 Advisors Montebello Process™ to develop and maintain comprehensive investment management solutions which are custom-tailored to his client’s unique needs.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Hanly served as a junior analyst within Citigroup’s Investment Banking Division in downtown Manhattan. This early exposure to global markets provided him with a sound understanding of the fiduciary standard associated with investment recommendations. From there, he joined the Consumer Finance Group at Wells Fargo where he learned instrumental lessons in building trusted client relationships.
Mr. Hanly earned a B.B.A. from Hofstra University in Finance and Marketing. In addition to his studies and banking internships, Mr. Hanly was a full scholarship athlete and member of the football team, earning Academic All-Conference accolades each semester. His dedication on and off the field was noticed by the National Football League (NFL) making Mr. Hanly a key prospect in 2007-2008.
Mr. Hanly is also a monthly contributor to The Rockland Times and gives frequent lectures in the areas of retirement planning, investments and capital markets. He currently holds Series 7, 65, and 63 licenses and is a CFP® practitioner.
